PROACTIVE PLANNING ASSOCIATES is an emergency and disaster plan consulting firm. The founder has more than 30 years of experience as a professional firefighter in a large metropolitan fire department. He is a certified Fire Inspector, Instructor and Safety Officer. He has served in several areas of public safety and emergency response, including fire suppression, prevention, hazardous materials and communications, weapons of mass destruction, emergency response to terrorism, training, first responder medical response and emergency management. He is a trainer for a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program administered by the Office of Homeland Security. Additionally, he has worked in the construction, insurance,  and retail industries. He knows all too well how fast an emergency can occur, often without warning. He has seen the chaos, devastation and disruption that result from a catastrophic event and the time and energy needed to recover from it. |
